Yoga Asana Workshop
Arm Balances & Handstands:
Lift Off Session (2 Hours)
Sunday 28th June 2026
11.00-13.00

Spin your world on its head.
Play at the edge of gravity.
We aim to Overcome blocked fears of so called Advanced postures. We will explore the wild, intelligent, and slightly wacky side of arm balances and inversions.
Use technique as opposed to strength. This is a practical hands-on session where we get to practice correct arm stacking, breath control, drishti focus and activation of bandhas to channel energy (prana), so the postures emerge.
Try out variations, modifications of postures such as:
Side Crow + funky variations (grasshopper flights)
Headstand pathways + creative transitions to arms balances and handstands
Pincha Mayurasana (including funky pincha variations)
Handstand drills, staged entries + moments of hang-time magic
Get a fresh perspective whilst stimulating both nervous systems.
Time to breakdown and creatively explore how the postures work for you
Options to build, soften, or spice things up however you feel

As the warmth and activity of summer begin to fade, many of us notice a shift in our energy. What started as a season of long days, travel, socialising and activity can leave us feeling depleted, scattered, anxious, tired, inflamed, or simply "not quite ourselves."
Ayurveda recognises this as a natural seasonal transition and offers practical tools to help us move into autumn with greater balance, resilience and vitality.
In this workshop, we will explore the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and discover how our bodies and minds are influenced by the changing seasons. Together we will look at why late summer often leaves us feeling exhausted, how autumn can aggravate stress, anxiety, poor sleep, dry skin, digestive disturbances and low energy, and what simple daily practices can help restore balance.
You will learn accessible Ayurvedic approaches that can easily be incorporated into modern life, including:
Seasonal food choices and dietary adjustments
Daily routines to improve energy, digestion and sleep
Simple cleansing and self-care practices
Ayurvedic herbs and home remedies
Seasonal yoga, movement and pranayama
Understanding your constitution and how the seasons affect you
Practical ways to build resilience and vitality throughout autumn
This workshop is suitable for yoga practitioners, therapists, wellness enthusiasts and complete beginners. Whether you are curious about Ayurveda or looking for practical tools to support your health naturally, you will leave with a clear understanding of how to work with the season rather than against it.
As Ayurveda teaches, health is not simply the absence of disease, it is living in harmony with nature. Autumn provides a powerful opportunity to slow down, replenish depleted reserves, and cultivate the foundations for wellbeing throughout the colder months ahead.
Expect an afternoon of practical wisdom, discussion, seasonal yoga practices, breathing techniques, self-care rituals and simple Ayurvedic strategies that you can begin using immediately.
"When we align our daily habits with the rhythms of nature, balance arises naturally."

Ayurveda yoga combines the principles of Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, with yoga. The term "Ayurveda" translates to "knowledge of life," So this workshop will focus on using the knowledge of life to inform our yoga practice.
According to Ayurveda each person has a unique genetic blueprint (true nature) however much of the time our yoga practice is in conflict to our blueprint or true nature. This can cause frustration, imbalances and even illness. Unlike popular forms of yoga that offer a one-size-fits-all approach, Ayurveda yoga is personalised according to seasons and current psycho-physiological state.
This Ayurveda yoga workshop aims to tailor yoga practices to an individual's specific needs to achieve tridoshic balance or a return to true nature.
This workshop will include Dinacharya (rituals), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath expansion), and meditation based on the current season qualities and characteristics. Participants are also able to explore techniques which will overcome their individual imbalances. Therefore using Ayurveda yoga as a method to evolve our yoga practice as needed, and empower us in managing our health.
