Ayurveda herbs grown in the Datai Valley, Kedah state, Malaysia.

During November I was lucky to have met a wondrous person, who has deep intimate knowledge of the healing powers of plants which exist in the Malaysian peninsula. Norma, who is a native of Kedah state was able to share the properties of the plants she grows for medicinal uses in the Datai Valley. Many of the plants I already use in dried powder form for clinical application in my Plymouth clinic. It is a special skill to be able to 'sit with herbs' to understand how they grow, and interact with other plants, animals and their environment. This give me the depth of herbal understanding, which is beyond textbook or college. To be intimate with medicinal herbs is an ancient form of learning, which provides an energetic awareness of the herbs I prescribe in my Plymouth Ayurveda clinic.
